Project Name: CSUS Science Seismic Retrofit and Renovation
Location: Turlock, CA.
Owner: California State University of Stanislaus
Architect: RSK Associates
Project Descriptions: This project was a 51,000 square foot modernization and seismic retrofit of the Science Building at CSUS. The existing two-story concrete building was completely remodeled for nursing and computer science programs; eight new classrooms were added as well as an open computer lab. The building also required a number of energy-efficiency features: photo-voltaic solar panels were installed on the roof and will provide energy for most of the building’s needs. To provide more natural light throughout the building, skylights and additional windows were added into the new walls and ceilings.
